Communal parking area permitted in Devizes
The permission was attained for a housing association client due to parking pressure in the area resulting in green areas being parked on.
The proposal therefore was to use one of those areas to create a properly surfaced parking area to benefit the local residents. There were a number of trees in the area and a tree survey/report was required in order to support the removal of one of those trees. Whilst this was regrettable there was a strong ‘planning balance’ case made around the community benefits from the proposal.
